I started my working life in a Unilever subsidiary as a Marketing Assistant.   I married and left this industry to try my hand at being a stay-at-home Mum.  I discovered that I would need to find an extra source of income because our income was stretched to the limit on just one income.  That began my journey into finding side hustles that could stretch the budget.  I did many things, sold beauty products, jewellery, advertising and a host of things but in 2005, 1 May to be precise I discovered something more than just a side hustle.  A friend introduced me to GNLD (as it was known then) or Golden Products and now Neolife International.

Saying “Yes” to this business opportunity dramatically altered our financial stability and I discovered I could earn much more than in the previous side hustles.  I found the Compensation Plan in Neolife to be fair – work hard, you get paid well, in other words, you get rewarded for the work you do.  In my other side hustles there was no room for growth or advancement, just straight commission.

When I said yes to Neolife, I was told that I would be able to travel, and I have – United Kingdom, Dubai, Zambia – I love to travel and look forward to more exciting trips to interesting destinations.

One very important thing they shared with me was that I would experience great health.  I started the journey of learning about nutrition and it’s importance and very quickly I did have a major breakthrough.  I experienced some challenging woman’s problems back in 2005 but just 3 months later they were resolved!  That got my attention.   It’s been like that since then and I have experienced amazing good health and energy and vitality.  They promised I would.

Just prior to Covid, our company provided me with my own e-commerce website and little did I know how this would revolutionise my business and that during lock down when so many business’ had to close, I could continue and grow because Neolife is an essential service.

Another promise they made is that this is an international business opportunity, and it is – I have customers outside of South Africa and that’s exciting.  One of the benefits of Covid was the development of online training, the ability to connect with like minded people all over the world and to help others grow their business wherever they are.

Do you think I believed this when I joined the Neolife family?  No, I didn’t but I also didn’t want to miss out if it was because it sounded like something that I could do, something I would enjoy doing – it helped me find my passion.  We are on a mission to make this world a healthier, happier place – I don’t want to have it as the best kept secret, I want to share it so that others can benefit from it, the way I have.

Oh and something else!  I can leave this as a legacy to my children or grandchildren.  Amazing, the work I do today will reward me in the future.
